The Global Citizens International Movement Coordinator-General called on the H.E. Ms. Elizabeth Truss, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Mr. David Lammy MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, to assist in the Movement’s efforts to release Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner from custody and undertake all available negotiating instruments for this purpose.
The message reads, in part:
“The sentence of British citizens Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner to death was shocking. We express our words of support to all the relatives and friends of the British.
We have seen globally significantly more human suffering.
We must not stop until the detainees abroad are in the loving arms of their family and friends, and we will succeed, no matter how difficult this path may seem today. ”
