Human Rights and National Security

It does not classify issues in the national security of any state as Unclassified information under international law. They cannot be the basis of discussion in the public sphere to shape public opinion.

In the realm of national security, there are definitely questions where the activities of human rights defenders should be welcomed. This is primarily a violation of human rights by the national authorities. These are questions of climate change, the origins of the Covid pandemic, and cybersecurity.

At the same time, issues such as the Wagnerian special operation in Ukraine, the Havana Syndrome it’s a medical ailment affecting U.S. diplomatic cannot be the subject of public debate by human rights defenders to shape public opinion aimed at destabilizing the work of the institutions of the national power of the state.

Not acceptable to protect the human rights of one category of persons while violating the rights of another category of persons.
