Even Mr. Tucker Carlson, who possesses a considerable amount of influence, is unable to engage in journalistic activities that cause harm to others while infringing on their rights

The Global Citizens International Movement Press Office provides the following information:

Statement by the Global Citizens International Movement about the interview with Larry Sinclair published by the influential American journalist Tucker Carlson on X (formerly known as Twitter).

We have perused Larry Sinclair’s interview with the renowned American journalist Tucker Carlson, which was originally published on X (formerly known as Twitter).

We deem the disclosure of such journalistic material as a significant intrusion into the private life of President Obama’s family, a breach of fundamental democratic principles such as inviolability and non-discrimination, as well as a manifest disregard for the ethical standards of professional journalism.

A journalist who respects human dignity shall avoid any allusion in text, image, or sound to a person’s ethnic or national origin, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, as well as for any disease, physical, or mental impairment that may be discriminatory.

Tucker Carlson is a talented journalist and a skilled professional in her field. But no journalist in the world, even one as influential as Tucker Carlson, cannot engage in journalistic activities and the legitimate exercise of the right to freedom of expression harming others while infringing on their rights.

However, it is imperative to refrain from prioritizing a journalist’s interests over those of another individual, particularly his family. Furthermore, using President Obama’s family as part of the US election campaign is unacceptable.

It is sincerely unfortunate that this took place in the bright journalistic activities of Tucker Carlson.

We express our most profound respect to Mrs. Michelle Obama and daughters, Malia and Sasha.

We express our gratitude for consistently demonstrating your support for President Obama, despite the challenges that may arise. Without your help, President Obama would not be the person he is today. Thank you.

Unfortunately, this is not the only context linking American journalists with violating President Obama’s family’s right to privacy.

We encourage the relevant international journalistic structures and human rights organizations to revisit the international ethical standards for journalism.

Several people are uncomfortable with the presence of others around them, which violates their personal space. Professional journalists must remember this if they are indeed such.

To the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama, we have forwarded a letter containing the text of this Statement. Letters containing the text of this Statement have also existed, sent to other interested parties.
