The head of the presidential faction of Sluha Narodu in the Ukrainian Parliament, David Arahamia on the television channel Ukraine 24, expressed the opinion that if Ukraine had kept nuclear weapons, it could “blackmail the entire world,” and that the non-public part of the meeting of the leaders of the United States and Ukraine, Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky, will be held in elevated tones. Arakhamia’s statement caused a hysterical flurry of anger against the Ukrainian authorities. Especially from representatives of Ukrainian opposition parties, who are awkwardly dancing around the fact that they’ve run out of politically palatable ways to try to convince people and to get your chance to come to power.
Worth noting: Translated into diplomatic language, Arahamia said the following: When nations go to war, governments need reliable and effective methods of rallying public opinion to support their actions, regardless of citizens’ political leanings or educational background. In other words, the Ukrainian MP said only what thousands of politicians of the world say every day. The world is out of danger and can continue to recover from the first year of the pandemic, which reputable sources predict could last until March 2025.
What’s next: It looks like the public opinion is being shaped by new attempts of interested beneficiaries to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, provoke street riots and protests.
Such a strange short-sightedness against the backdrop of years of war in eastern Ukraine and the challenging economic situation in Ukraine cannot but arouse suspicions of the bias of several Ukrainian political experts and civil society activists, who serve now as tools of political pressure on the institutions of power of Ukraine and fabricate pretexts for destabilizing the situation in Ukraine. But all such scenarios are doomed to failure.
It is not worth testing the authorities’ patience; They have at least two steps to spare, and as soon as the authorities decide to take these steps, the time before the end of the presidential cadence will stop, as, however, the dream of those concerned to come to power in Ukraine.
